Indonesian Artisans Ready to Conquer the Global Market!

Ministry of Investment and IIPC supported the development of small and medium enterprises (UMKM) at Shoppe Object NYC 2024. This support was part of a broader initiative to promote Indonesian artisans on the global stage, providing them with the resources and exposure needed to succeed in international markets.

The Indonesia Pavilion at Shoppe Object 2024 showcased exceptional Indonesian craftsmanship, offering a unique opportunity for attendees to explore Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage and innovative designs on a global stage. This year’s pavilion featured eight talented artisans selected by Jennifer Isaacson.

Jennifer Isaacson is a professional curator from the U.S. with over 20 years of experience. Since 2016, she has equipped more than 1,200 Indonesian handmade artisans with the knowledge to develop strong business plans and craft products suited to the U.S. market. The artisans showcased their unique products reflecting Indonesia's rich culture and creativity. Among the participants at the Indonesia Pavilion, visitors could find Batik Amarilis with its traditional batik collections combined with modern designs, Damdam Ceramics offering charming artistic ceramics, and Du Anyam with environmentally friendly handwoven crafts.

Additionally, Kresek Project introduced products with local cultural touches, Palemcraft displayed innovative palm-based crafts, and Retota presented functional and aesthetic designs. Seco provided quality accessories and decorations, while Seken Living offered elegant home furnishings. With its diverse and unique products, the Indonesia Pavilion was the perfect place to discover the beauty and uniqueness of Indonesian craftsmanship.
